Seva is an ancient Sanskrit word that describes the act of selfless service.
Seva Street, a non-profit organisation, sprung from the urgent and growing need to help and support rough sleepers in and around Stratford, East London.
Seva Street isn't affiliated to any faith, religion, race or political ideology and volunteers come from all ethnicities and backgrounds.
There’s no agenda apart from helping and supporting those in need.
Our ethos is to treat everyone as equals – no one gets asked why they’re in the queue for food. Those we help are our guests and we invite them to 'come eat with us'.
.... since March 2020.
Our ultimate goal is to deliver 2,000 much needed meals each day and to achieve this we need many more volunteers.

COVID restrictions permitting, you will find us at our 'main event of the week', serving at the Stratford Shopping Centre on Wednesday evenings between 7.00 and 9.00pm. We also produce freshly cooked meals from our numerous private volunteer locations whilst we await the completion of our new, dedicated kitchen facility.
These are some of the most needed items:
JEANS / TRACKSUIT TROUSERS . COATS / SWEATERS . BLANKETS / SLEEPING BAGS . SOCKS . UNDERWEAR
Your generous gift will help us fund our mission to continue helping those in serious need. This can be clothing and blankets, a 'Forgo-to-Fulfil' contribution (see next page) or a monetary donation (button below).
Together, we can make a valuable difference.
